Department Information
The Public Works Director supervises the maintenance and repair of roads, roadsides, storm and sanitary sewers. He supervises the care and maintenance of highway mechanical equipment and other automotive vehicles. He also supervises the operation of the Transfer Station. Mr. Lametta works closely with the Town Engineer on projects such as road and culvert repair and drainage layout. He supervises Solid Waste and Recycling activities at the Transfer Station by working with haulers, employees and personally checking the site.
The Public Works Department has been praised by the Selectmen, Board of Education as well as numerous residents for the condition of our roads during snow storms. The Public Works employees often work around the clock plowing, sanding and salting Weston’s roads during winter storms.
