- Assistant: Suzanne Friedman, RN, MS
- Tuesday 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Department Information
The SOCIAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT is located in the Weston Town Hall Annex, 24 School Road. The Social Services Department offers the following confidential services to residents of the Town of Weston regardless of income:
- Information and Referral
- Crisis Intervention
- Coordination of Meals on Wheels Program and Dial-a-Ride
- Advocacy
- Short Term Counseling/Diagnosis and Referral
- Case Management
- Assistance with Applications for Other Agencies (ConnPace; Medicare; Medicaid)
- Screening for Salvation Army Funds and Donations from Other Groups
- Screening for Emergency Assistance to Residents to Prevent Homelessness, Hunger and Illness
- Screening for Food Pantry, Holiday Programs, Camperships, and Beach Passes
- Screening for Energy Assistance Applications – Warm Up Fund and N.E.O.N.
- Consultation and Assistance to Other Towns and Community Agencies on Social Service Matters
- Child and Elderly Protective Services Referrals
- Collaboration with the Senior Center and Youth Services Programs
