Department Information
The SOCIAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT is located in the Weston Town Hall Annex, 24 School Road. The Social Services Department offers the following confidential services to residents of the Town of Weston regardless of income:
- Information and Referral on local, state & federal services
- Crisis Intervention
- Coordination of Meals on Wheels Program and Dial-a-Ride
- Screening for Weston Arts scolarships
- Short Term Counseling/Diagnosis and Referral
- Case Management
- Assistance with Applications for other Federal and State Agencies (ConnPace; Medicare; Medicaid)
- Screening for Salvation Army Funds and private donations
- Screening for Emergency Assistance to Residents to Prevent Homelessness, Hunger, Illness, electric shutoff, and heating assistance
- Screening for Food Pantry, Holiday Programs, Camperships, and Beach Passes
- Assistance with Energy Assistance Applications – Warm Up Fund and N.E.O.N.
- Consultation and Assistance to Other Towns and Community Agencies on Social Service Matters
- Child and Elderly Protective Services Referrals
- Collaboration with the Senior Center and Youth Services Programs
