Discover Fairfield County’s maritime importance during this critical period of our nation’s history. Hear about the exploits of the Sally’s four successive captains, some of her crew and notable passengers, including Connecticut hero, Nathan Hale, as they dealt in espionage, raids against the enemy, and privateering along the treacherous “Devil’s Belt” of Long Island Sound. This event is part of the “Weston America 250: The Revolutionary Spirit Lecture Series”, co-sponsored by the Friends of the Weston Public Library, The Weston History & Culture Center and the League of Women Voters of Weston, with support from the Weston America 250 Advisory Group.
