Laura Clark Murray explores how DNA analysis, combined with traditional records, can resolve persistent family mysteries, reinforce lineage proof for patriot ancestors, and assist in identifying unknown individuals in cold cases. With more than 30 years of genealogical experience and active involvement in investigative genetic genealogy research, Laura highlights the power of DNA as evidence in this slide lecture.

About the Presenter: Laura Clark Murray is Program Manager for the High Impact Technology Fund at Stanford University and a researcher supporting Dr. Lawrence Wein’s
work on advancing the efficiency of forensic investigative genetic genealogy. With more than three decades of genealogical research experience, she focuses on integrating DNA analysis with documentary evidence to strengthen lineage proof and support the identification of unknown individuals. She is a genetic genealogy researcher with Family Locket and a volunteer investigator with the DNA Doe Project, collaborating with law enforcement agencies across the country on complex cold cases. She is currently pursuing accreditation in investigative genetic genealogy.
