Park users and dog owners assume all risks and responsibilities related to the use of the Dog Park. Dog owners are responsible for any and all injuries or damage caused by their dog per State Statute (CGS 22-357). The Town of Weston shall not be held responsible and shall have no liability for the act or omission of dog owners or their dogs that utilize the Dog Park

Dogs may only be allowed off leash within the fenced area of the dog park, subject to the rules and regulations set forth below:

• Dogs must be spayed or neutered.
• Dogs must be over the age of 4 months to be allowed entry to the Dog Park.
• Unless entering or exiting, all gates shall be kept closed.
• Dogs must be leashed when entering/exiting the Dog Park. Dogs outside of the Dog Park must be leashed at all times.
• All dogs must have their license and rabies vaccination tag visible
• Dogs in the off-leash area must always be accompanied by an owner who is in the boundaries of the
off-leash area, and within view of their dog under voice control. Dogs must not be left unattended.
• Choke, prong and spiked collars are not permitted and must be removed prior to entering the dog
park.
• Dogs displaying aggressive/dangerous behavior must be immediately leashed by their owner and
removed from the Dog Park.
• Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult, and may not bring toys, balls, or
sporting equipment.
• Dogs who are observed to be digging a hole must be stopped as soon as possible, and any hole must
be promptly filled by the owner.
• Dog owners must clean up or cause to be clean up after their dog anywhere in the Park and
thereafter dispose of waste properly, utilizing appropriate waste receptacles.
• Violations of these rules may subject an owner and the dog to a temporary or permanent ban from
the Park after a hearing before the Parks and Recreation Commission.

Prohibited At All Times in the Dog Park:
• Human and dog food/treats
• Glass containers
• Smoking of any kind, including vaping
• Unaltered dogs and dogs in heat
• Sick dogs
• Aggressive dogs
